Prior to my diagnosis with Lichen Sclerosis, I was already considering a 2 week gluten free period followed by a challenge. I had read that anemia and hypoglycemia can both be linked to a gluten sensitivity in some cases. So I figured it was worth a shot. Now, after what I've found regarding LS (check last post for details), I'm that much more determined to give this a try. So here's my current plan:
2 weeks gluten free, followed by 1 week back on gluten (the "challenge"; to see if I have any negative symptoms from the reintroduction of gluten)
2 weeks dairy free, then 1 week back on dairy
If I'm still having symptoms, 2 weeks oxalate free, then 1 week back on oxalates.
In addition, I had my blood drawn today to check my thyroid levels. I'll have those results next week.
